Leeds Young Authors was founded in 2003 by Khadijah Ibrahiim, performance poet and playwright, to promote positive social dialogue through the written and spoken word among the young people of Leeds. In 2009, they competed at Brave New Voices Youth Poetry SLAM in Chicago. Khadijah Ibrahiim will work with a group from Leeds Young Authors to create her WORDCUP team.
